Dominated by the Léman Lake, at the foothills of the Gruyère Mountains, stretches out an area know as the Vaudoise Riviera. A region blessed with a great climate and a huge landscape. Here the Vaudoise wines are made from the chasselas grape and the great burgundian and Alsacian vines. These well-know wines (80% of the wine produced is sold in Switzerland) have outstanding quality: complex, balanced, fragrant and hearty, light-years from the image that most have of Swiss wines.
The Vaudois are particularly welcoming and the country, dotted with villages and a perfectly conserved castle, combines all the ingredients for an unforgettable enticement of the senses.
The Valais region contains 45 summits up to 4000m altitude. It is however the driest and hottest region in the Alps. The vines planted on the slopes sometimes give out 70% of grapes that are turned into absolutely stunning wines. 54 types of vine, the majority of which have a melange of smells and taste that are incomparable. The wine of the Valais is complex, fragrant and heady: characteristics of the great wines. Like the Vaudois, the Valaisans are a people with a unique identity and the winemaking culture is very visible. The whole area and every generation live for the wine and vines. Welcoming, warm and friendly, they will show us their country and land with the utmost kindness.
Our excursions by car or foot follow the same principle and philosophy as they would in the Savoie. Local guides, specialists in their region and its wines, will lead you.
